“ ‘Homemade’ is a word I’ve always loved the sound of, but it also carries a deep meaning for me. Home is where I first learned to play guitar, where I recorded my first song on a cassette recorder, and where I hung the CD booklet from Pearl Jam’s Ten on my wall and dreamed about making records of my own. To return all these years later and make this album in my home studio feels like completing a circle.

The song and video reflect where everything began, but they also celebrate everything I’ve built since then—my family, my music, and a creative life that is still unfolding.

There is something beautifully imperfect about the word ‘homemade’: it suggests something created by hand, with love and care, rather than something manufactured or polished beyond recognition. That spirit became central to the record. It was made in the place where I live, surrounded by the people, memories, and everyday moments that have shaped me.

In that sense, ‘Homemade’ isn’t only about returning to where I started—it is about recognizing that home has remained at the heart of my music all along.”  – Pete Francis
